Before a client arrives on site, she is given a complete psychosocial assessment by our Director of Admissions. Information from referring and/or local therapists/physicians/practitioners is secured in order to assist in the intake treatment process. Each client is also asked to have records of a complete physical exam sent from her primary care physician as well as a letter stating that she is in a medically stable condition. The medical report needs to include specific, required lab work. Labs and medical information need to be faxed to Mirasol's physician before arrival. Our physician reviews each case and approves each admission.
Once each client is approved for admission, a date is set for arrival. We accept clients into treatment Monday through Wednesday. Travel plans are communicated and our Mirasol staff use careful discretion when picking up the client at the airport for transportation to the facility. In order to maintain a safe, drug-free environment, client baggage is searched on arrival.
Next, the orientation process begins and each client is safely integrated, emotionally and physically, into the client community.
